A new Monster Hunter game has been announced, and it will be a mobile game done in collaboration with TiMi Studio Group.

TiMi is best known for other big titles on mobile such as Call of Duty Mobile, Pokémon Unite, and Arena of Valor. Few details were given about the game, outside of it being developed for smartphones.

Here’s the short announcement on their TiMi’s website:

TiMi Studio Group (TiMi) and Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) are joining forces on a new mobile game for the iconic Monster Hunter series. The in-development game will reproduce the hunting actions that define the Monster Hunter series, and offers players a new game experience unique for mobile devices and phones.

This first-time partnership between TiMi and Capcom will combine the experiences and strengths of both sides, allowing Monster Hunter to scale to more platforms with an aim to give global hunters – experienced or new – the freedom to hunt as they desire, anytime and anywhere.

Based on their announcement, it appears the new game will be more akin to what the franchise has been on consoles and PC. This is unlike Pokémon Unite, which is a MOBA separate from the turned based RPG style that franchise is known for.
