Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment have put up a new story trailer for Mortal Kombat X, which confirms that characters from the Mortal Kombat X comics will be in the game.
Netherrealm Studios will set Mortal Kombat X immediately after the events of the previous game, and then transition the story 25 years into the future, as a way to introduce a whole new generation of characters to the franchise. To that end, they’ll be bringing Jacqueline “Jacqui” Briggs, daughter of Jax Briggs and friend of Cassie Cage; Takashi Takeda, son of Kenshi and pupil of Hanzo; and Kung Jin, Kung Lao’s descendant, to the fighting game’s roster.
We glimpse Rain and Sindel in the video, too, although what this means is unknown.
You might have missed out on other recent MKX news: Brutalities are returning to the game, and Kitana’s variations were showcased. There’s plenty more, too—check the archives.
Mortal Kombat X launches worldwide on April 14, on the PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.

February 27, 2015 at 11:47 amI’m conerned about story parts… but damn… that fatality from 1;35-1;40 look yammy…
Huh… but of course Goro as free DLC for those who pre-order game. Sorry no… my experience is telling me that pre-orders are short way to disapointment.
I will wait for reviews. But as it looks nice… seems that we will cute game.

February 27, 2015 at 5:23 pmI’m not pre-ordering, but not because I’m worried about being disappointed.
It’s because I know that without a doubt one year after release they’ll package all of the DLC and pre-order bonuses into a Komplete Edition for half the original price.

February 27, 2015 at 11:03 pmI’ve been reading the MKX comic and they’re actually pretty great characters. I just hope the story mode covers them well enough.
