Square Enix has shared a few trailers and new details for Kingdom Hearts III from this years D23 Expo.
The new trailers confirm the previously rumored Monsters, Inc. world, as well as the game’s “Don’t Think Twice” theme song – sung by returning musician Utada Hikaru. The Japanese version is “Chikai,” or “Oath.”

Square Enix also confirmed (via GameSpot) that the Gummi Ship portions will return and are split into two parts. The exploration phase is described as being more open world, while the combat phase has more foes than before.
The report also notes that all 100 staff in Square Enix’s Osaka studio are working on the game across beginning, middle, and end portions. There are reportedly three worlds or so in each portion, but Square noted this doesn’t mean there are nine total worlds
Finally, Square Enix confirmed it will announce the release date for Kingdom Hearts III at this year’s E3 2018. The game has had a tentative 2018 release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
