SNK has announced a new patch for The King of Fighters XIV that brings a noticeably different change to the PlayStation 4 fighter.
The patch, version 1.10, will visually upgrade the game’s visuals, which you can view a comparison (via Gatoray) between the old (featured above) and the new (featured below).
While a release for the patch wasn’t confirmed at this time, the game will be playable with the patch at this year’s PlayStation Experience, which runs from December 3rd through the 4th – so we expect it to drop around then.
In case you missed it, you can find our review for The King of Fighters XIV here (we highly recommend it!).

November 28, 2016 at 9:35 amI didn’t care much for the graphics, but this is a good way to draw in new players who do. The backgrounds and the stages were already quite nice, so I’m glad to see the character models being improved as well.
Good on SNK for supporting the game.

November 28, 2016 at 9:44 amIt’s a damn shame that KoF is so underappreciated.

It would certainly help to make the franchise more popular.

November 28, 2016 at 6:16 pmIt will be; the “console exclusive” logo on the boxart guarantees a PC version is coming up.

November 28, 2016 at 6:22 pmBecause Asians don’t bother with XBox and Nintendo kept people away from their consoles for like a gen or two. Maybe if the Switch doesn’t end up doing shit or SNK fully takes interest in the PC audience.

November 28, 2016 at 8:01 pmLooks like a nice upgrade. Is KoF XIV the first game to get remastered on the same console? :^)

November 29, 2016 at 6:16 pmWell it certainly looks better.
Still lacking in visual identity like the 3D Street Fighter games and GGXrd (even Mortal Kombat 9 and X) have.
