It seems like there are some secrets that Sony has managed to keep from leaking prior to E3 2014, although we have gotten a pretty interesting tip thanks to the New York Times.
With the rise of talent coming out of game design programs from various schools, many of the major publishers and development studios have their eyes on graduating students, and the fresh new ideas they may come up with. The E3 reveal we’re talking about is going to come from Sony Computer Entertainment’s newest internal studio, Pixelopus.
While the name doesn’t quite roll off the tongue that well, the team was formed from talented students who attended a class that Sony’s executive producer, Alex Lee, was helping teach at Carnegie Mellon University. The students were tasked with creating prototype games for the Playstation Vita, and some of them ended up with internships at Sony, and eventually, full time jobs.
The NY Times reports that these select few have been working alongside other talent at Sony to create their first unique title. There is no word on where Pixelopus is based out of, but whatever they’re working on – it’s got to be amazing.
