Importing video game music to the west has typically been a great challenge, with the price of such soundtracks increasing well beyond that of being reasonably affordable.

Thanks to a very dedicated fan, a group of Japanese game composers have gotten together for a fantastic take on East meets West, in the form of their album, Imported Game Music.

The album was created to bring gamers of the west closer to the gaming culture of the east. The music features the like of Tenpei Sato (the Disgaea series) Mushuro, Takahiro Izhutani, and even Akira Ueda (Super Mario RPG). You can find the entire list below:

  • Tenpei Sato (Disgaea series)
  • eiceph (Street Fighter IV)
  • Go Sato (Raiden series)
  • Hideaki Kobayashi AKA Dr. COVA (Phantasy Star Online and the Sonic the Hedgehog series)
  • Takayuki Nakamura (LUMINES series and Rodea The Sky Soldier)
