343 Industries and Creative Assembly have shared a new developer diary introducing the multiplayer in Halo Wars 2.
Featured above, the new video has a myriad of staff talking up the various multiplayer modes, including classics like domination, deathmatch, as well as newer modes like stronghold, and blitz – the latter of which is a mix of tactical combat and card-based strategy.
Halo Wars 2 is set within the year 2559, and is a direct sequel to the 2009-released original, Halo Wars. Players will once again control the human crew aboard the UNSC warship Spirit of Fire, however a new faction is introduced: the Banished.
Halo Wars 2 will be released on February 21st, 2017 for the Xbox One and PC.
