Gravity Rush 2 had some new information come about from a livestream for the game (via Games Talk) will likely be interesting, to say the least.
(Editor’s Note: You can view a recording of some gameplay from the stream, above)
To begin, the makers have already confirmed the existence of DLC which will be different in nature from the first game’s DLC packs. While the exact nature of the DLC is unspecified right now, it will be interesting to see what comes out of it all.
Also to be included is a photo mode that will be supported with Twitter, more costumes than the previous game and world that are “2.5” times bigger than in the original. And, while it’s as of yet in planning and not confirmed, the ability to play as Raven may be included in the actual release.
The scale of the game is also much larger this time around, featuring more enemy types. The city that the whole game will be set in even moves, as if being hit by waves. Oh, and there’s also the expansion on the combat system, allowing for the three different gravity styles.
Also being added are a few online components that appear to be very heavily influenced by Dark Souls’ multiplayer aspect. They want to add the ability to use the photo mode to add pictures to help your friends along in the game and leave tips. They also want to add player ghosts to time attack modes, as well as the ability to send actual challenges to other players. The system will also be likely used to improve endgame content.
With everything the team hopes to add, it’s likely that Gravity Rush 2 will be a great game, but we’ll all have to wait and see how things are implemented in the end. For now, things are looking good.
Gravity Rush 2 is set for a 2016 release on PlayStation 4.
