A new video game development studio, Big Bad Wolf, has set up in Bordeaux, France, and is already hard at work on its first project.
The studio counts among its ranks previous developers from Blizzard Entertainment, Cyanide, and Ubisoft, who’ve worked on such games as Blood Bowl, Game of Thrones, Of Orcs and Men, Styx: Master of Shadows, and World of Warcraft. (They’re also still hiring.)
Their website says that Big Bad Wolf wants to create “dark” and “mature” games with “strong narrative content” that offer an experience closer to that of paper RPGs.
The blurry images above, one of a chessboard, and another of people standing about, are all there is to see of the game yet, which is currently in pre-production. The RPG is intended to be multi-platform, and will be available for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
We’ll keep you updated.
