    Motion blur…
I thought Pro was supposed to make games look better, not worse.

    top kek.
Can’t really see much of a difference in the screens tbh, and lack of motion blur in the regular version is definitely a plus for me.

Pro was supposed to boost Sonys 4K TVs and nothing else.
I still can’t believe so many people are falling for iterative consoles while complaining about the high price of computers.
    Its really sad.

there’s difference between motion blur on character animation and motion blur on screen moving

motion blur on animation can add to the dramatic effect of the action

if you’re talking about the HDR technology in screen, that pic is 0% accurate

The game was developed primarily on the original PS4, so you will not see any significant improvements on the PS4 Pro version besides the 1080p / 60fps resolution / framerate

I honestly don’t trust Platinum to optimise for the 2 systems. Their recent games haven’t exactly been polished, so the extra platform doesn’t really make things better.

So the game is not even 1080p on PS4!? Damn that is harsh.

There’s no dramatic effect in having your main character look like she’s been smudged in Vaseline.

those are effect used to to “interpolate” the motion of the sword.
    same as animation blur.

I get your point, but I hate motion blur. If some people are fine with some types of motion blur then that is fine. That is their preference.
However I hate it and a lot of other people hate it too so I hope that they have an option to turn off motion blur as I and people like me who hate motion blur will be skipping this game if they do not.
Note: In case it was not obvious, I own a Playstation Pro.

I guess another 900p 60fps game for the PS4? I do hope they are aiming for 60fps as gameplay is more important than pretty graphics. And I guess the pro verison is not even going to pretend to be 4k?

While I don’t mind motion blur too much, though I will turn it off if I can, I do hope there will be a slider for it for those who hate it.

the last 2 games weren’t polished, but at the same time they didn’t have the time and budget (and, dare I say, effort) this one have. Platinum seems to be putting their all in this game. so they will probably deliver something on the level of Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising.

I don’t know about that. It’s another third party project, while they are working on other games – Scalebound and a mobile to PS4 port.

well, even if they are working on other stuff, gotta remember that they’re only responsible for the combat, overall it’s still a Square Enix game (I know they’re making a Demo for it so it’s just a matter of waiting for that to check out how it’s looking)

They are listed as the developers for the game, so there’s that.

I’ll give the demo a shot and the combat can sell me the game. Same thing happened with Revengeance.

It’s Platinum’s B Team that is working on NieR Automata. Most of Platinum is working hard on Scalebound, the whole studio is depending allot on Kamiya’s game as it’s their most ambitious project.
