We’ve learned (via Famitsu) that Atlus has a new Etrian Odyssey game in development for the Nintendo 3DS.

The news comes via the Famitsu interview and series director Shigeo Komori, who noted the game is more of like a festive-styled cumulative title in the series, and that it’s already in development.

Komori also noted that Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth is the last entry in the series to use the bottom screen of the Nintendo 3DS to draw the map. Further details weren’t confirmed.

The latest game in the series, Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2, launched in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS in August.
