Ys Net has revealed a new set of screenshots for Shenmue III.
Featured above as well as below, the new screenshots introduce a myriad of environments within the upcoming threequel.
The new screenshots were first revealed during a presentation at the Monaco Anime Games International Conferences, in which series creator Yu Suzuki also revealed a few tidbits for the game.
For one, those showing concerns over Ryo’s face looking different when compared to the first two games should be relieved to know that Ryo’s face will not change from how it looked in Shenmue and Shenmue II, to how he appears in Shenmue III. (via Shenmue Dojo)
Suzuki also confirmed that he likes the character Chai, and wants to see him return as a character in Shenmue III. Suzuki also said that he wants to include more player interaction and strategy in the game’s fight sequences.
Finally, Ys Net shared a bunch of short clips of gameplay for the game, including weather effects, a tranquil fishing location, and even a quick teaser of the game’s main theme sequences (Editor’s note: also via Shenmue Dojo).
Shenmue III is currently in development for both PlayStation 4 and PC.
