New E3 Preview Videos For Sword Coast Legends Focus On DM Mode

Though it didn’t get a proper and suitably hype-filled E3 showcase like its more well-known RPG brethren, n-space’s Sword Coast Legends did have a presence at the event and even managed to get a few gameplay videos out to the web while everyone was distracted.

The videos are mostly talking along with some clips, but they do a good job of going over some of the specifics of gameplay and put all the facts together in one tight package. The second video, from IDG.tv actually has footage with n-Space’s Dan Tudge explaining the Dungeon Master mode in-depth.

In that video, there is some brief footage of the DM mode tools and how players use them to place NPCs within a dungeon. Tudge states that his main goal with the system was to make it as easy to use as possible, which will no doubt please those who are new to both 5th edition and the idea of dungeon-mastering.

Sword Coast Legends is due out this September 8th and can be pre-purchased on Steam. A petition to get the game on GOG is ongoing.

I’m glad to hear that the DM tools are pretty robust. I had feared that it would essentially just let me move around enemies and change stats in a procedurally created dungeon and that’s about it, but if I can create whole towns and quests and dialogue trees and so on, then that will make me very happy.
