• New Dragon Quest Monsters Game in Development for Consoles

    We have learned that a new Dragon Quest Monsters game is being developed for consoles.

    A rough translation tells us it will not be part of the Dragon Quest Monsters Joker series, nor will it be a remake – news confirmed in a 20th anniversary live broadcast for the spinoff series (via Games Jouhou).

    Akira Toriyama has released artwork of the main characters (as shown above), and they seem to be younger versions of Erik and Mia from Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age. At this stage we can only speculate whether this is a new continuity or canon to events in Dragon Quest XI.
