New Criminal Girls 2 Trailer Gives an Overview of Its Naughty Features

NIS America has shared a new trailer for Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors.

Featured above, the new trailer gives a pretty good overview of the game’s various features, most especially its naughty focus on punishing the girls – encouraging them to pursue their salvation.

Criminal Girls 2: Party Favors is launching for PS Vita in North America on September 20th and in Europe on September 23rd.

“Notice: In order to release this title in both North America and Europe, certain aspects of this game have been modified from the Japanese release”

Keep telling yourselves that NISA. If you are too chickenshit to stand behind the original product, maybe you should look for employment elsewhere, since it seems you don’t respect the products your parent company puts out.

Hire some people that are willing to take a hit to deliver the original experience to their fanbase. Maybe ask someone at PQube, Xseed or even Idea factory international for advice on how to do that. If you get slapped with an AO just once, maybe people will start believing you whenever you claim some guy you know said you’d get an AO if you tried.

It’s in your best interest; you’ve pissed off the people that should’ve been your allies and yet the perpetually offended will still trash your game. Who’s left? Diehard NISA fans? Not sure how many there are of those left.

The thumbs down in the latest trailer paints a picture about how people feel about you caving in; each one isn’t necessarily lost revenue, but it very well might be. Work out the ratio of up to down and it doesn’t look too good for your bottom line, especially when you consider what it could’ve been.

Personally, I think I’ll just watch the “interesting” parts of this game uncensored on YouTube (and we know how strict they can be, so it makes you wonder…) and then forget this game ever existed. Which is too bad, as NISA has the potential to join the ranks of other publishers pushing the envelope, and no better time to join the wave than now. Strength in numbers and all of that.

But instead, they’d rather undermine the progress the more based companies have made recently.

Okay, break is over so I’ll get off my soapbox ?

You know, it’s really dishonest of the trailer to not point out the inevitable censoring pink smoke and art changes as a feature since that’s most likely what you’ll be looking at 90% of the time rather than the original work.

  3. Rottenjesus
    July 14, 2016 at 4:36 pm

That would mean that NISA would have to acknowledge that they’ve heavily censored the game and you know they won’t admit that.

“especially its naughty focus on punishing the girls”

It’s “motivation”, not punishment. Punishment implies too big of a “power distance”, something we can’t have in the west.

The SJW lingo is the biggest clue so far that either they’ve turned SJW or there’s some feminist cunt on board who is setting his/her own personal agenda on the video games they “localize”.

They should rate this game “P” for pussies because that’s what you are NISA. Or maybe its for pandering since you seem happy trying to appease SJW cucks who wouldn’t have bought your game anyway. Keep dicking around your cucks because that’s the only audience you’ve got left. I hope the holy trinity of localizers IFI, XSeed, or PQube buy out your IP’s so they can get the respect they deserve. The day you either reform your ways or crash and burn will be a glorious day indeed.

Yep. Vented a somewhat the same story on their on their forum yesterday.

Had this been XSeed I would have believed them on their word. Heck even the reaction to Dungeon Travelers 2’s censorship was not this harsh against Atlus.

The problem really is that their credibility is in the toilet after Mugen Souls and CG1 (and a long string of other fuckups) with the most damning point being is that they wont even undo the censorship for CG1 on Steam.
If they really want at least *some* credibility back their gonna have to show some fucking backbone and at least release CG1 uncensored on Steam.

His comment that he suggested they should have not have censored CG2 is interesting though since the content is supposed to be ‘worse’ in CG2 it means that CG1’s censorship was 100% unnecessary to stay below that AO rating.

I found a interesting podcast where Kotaku Splitscreen did an interview with Jessica Chalvez who was a former editor at Xseed where a portion of the podcast talks about censorship and localization. If you can get through having to listen to Jason Schreier’s voice though, there is some perspective to get out of it. Needless to say though that perspective is somewhat a bit one sided in a way to say the least.
