The latest update to free-to-play Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation has added a new character, Kanna.

Along with Tamaki, Fiona and Nagisa, Kanna has debuted in the Xtreme series here, as oppose to the mainline Dead or Alive fighting games. Another curiosity about her is that she is an oni, a Japanese mythological creatures roughly comparable to an ogre. While Nyotengu (a tengu) had her wings vanish and appear almost human, Kanna keeps her horns, sharp teeth, and pointy ears.

Her personality is a little childish, prone to getting over excited but also easily losing her temper. According to the Dead or Alive fan Wikia, while Nyotengu considers her a childhood friend, Kanna views Nyotengu as her arch-enemy. Although she does have a friendly relationship with Momiji. She also speaks to the owner of the island (i.e. the player) casually, using the very informal masculine “omae.”
