Electronic Arts has shared a new trailer for Battlefield 1.
Featured above, the new trailer introduces the game’s single-player campaign. Electronic Arts also talked up how the game’s single-player is broken up into different parts.
The game’s campaign pans out via War Stories, unique stories entirely focused on various protagonists that all have their own individual backgrounds and abilities.
Battlefield 1 is launching across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21st. If you pre-order the game’s deluxe edition, you’ll be able to play from October 18th.

September 27, 2016 at 9:52 pmI just find the extreme contrast between the tone of the singleplayer and multiplayer an absolute riot. You have the singleplayer going “Behind every gun sight is a human being hurr durr [more pretentious dialogue]” while the multiplayer has you mindlessly slaughtering every person in sight just to capture an outpost.

September 27, 2016 at 9:53 pmIt’s hilarious how they think people want campaigns in Battlefield instead of Battlefront.

September 27, 2016 at 10:28 pmNo French story? No German story? The German’s weren’t really Nazi’s yet, I don’t think WW1 had any distinct “evil” side so much as dumb politicians fighting for territory… And yet DICE is content to paint the Germans as evil and leave the French as DLC.
How do you say Season Pass in French anyway?
I still need this games MP since the Beta was really fun. Plus I’m tired of BF4 for scratching my multiplayer itch… Still poor handling of “The Great War” imo. If EA was so afraid of kids not knowing enough about WW1 that they wouldn’t like this game, well, this is not the way to teach them…

September 27, 2016 at 10:55 pmEvery WWI/WWII shooter should have a campaign. It’s the shitty modern/future shooters that should stick to their MP-only crap.

September 28, 2016 at 12:29 amI agree but it’s been what over a decade since there was a single player Star Wars shooter unless you’re just talking about the COD idea of future shooter.

September 28, 2016 at 12:33 amGotta have multiplayer for the fat, stupid masses. But I am gonna go ahead and guess that this campaign is nothing but “dumb guy cheer” moments. Like, how many times are you in a collapsing building in Battlefield games as it goes down? Their Lego Duplo engine can do basically nothing but that.

September 28, 2016 at 12:49 amYeah I suppose I’m talking about things like the newest couple of CoDs. I do think Battlefront would have made for a good campaign.
I’m just sick of the frat-bro Middle Eastern setting campaigns, and a WW1 setting sounds really perfect for potential storylines.

September 28, 2016 at 2:44 amThe whole concept of “evil side” is stupid in either war. But it’s a known fact that the winner gets to write history how it pleases

Season Pass. It’s a borrowed word

September 28, 2016 at 7:14 amprobably better than the multiplayer, which is infested with hackers on PC

September 28, 2016 at 7:17 amInstead of these mindless FPS, I would like it if the story continued after your friend got shot. The story showed the human suffering of war, the lack of hospital care at the time, the family dramas that unfold, now that would be something that would have a real emotional impact.

September 28, 2016 at 7:35 am“The German’s weren’t really Nazi’s yet”
Right, it is actually WW1 that gave the Nazi party its wings.
After WW1, the UK and France asked Germany citizens to pay reparation fees for WW1. The ethnic group that collected those fees were overwhelmingly Jewish.
Those Jewish collectors often cheated and collected money for themselves instead. The German economy suffered under the reparation fees, many Germans died during Winter, Germany was unable to recover under the enforced reparation collections.
The nazi party was a response to that, it was a socialist party promising to recover the economy and to stop jews from ripping off regular german citizens even if they were starving and dying during winter.

Right, it is actually WW1 that gave the Nazi party its wings.
After WW1, the UK and France asked German citizens to pay reparation fees for WW1. The ethnic group that collected those fees was to a large extent Jewish.
Those Jewish collectors often cheated and collected money
for themselves instead. The German economy suffered under the reparation fees, many Germans died during Winter, Germany was unable to recover under the enforced reparation collections.
This is also what created the swiss banking industry, during WW2, many jews hid gold and money, they illegally collected from Germany, in Swiss vaults. The swiss banks promised to keep the jewish identity a secret…and swiss banking secrecy was born.
The nazi party was a response to german poverty, it was a socialist party promising to recover the economy and to stop jews from ripping off regular german citizens who were starving and dying during winter.
When you lay the facts in front of you, it is not hard to see why German people were fully backing the nazi party, for many it was either supporting the nazi party or death during a cold winter.
The amount of poverty in Germany preceding WW2 was unbelievable.

September 28, 2016 at 7:58 amGood vs. evil is much simpler to grasp for people.
Don’t want to confuse people and god forbid if they ever learn to use their brains!
Sucks for the French though. But I’m guessing this game was never meant for people who know their history anyway.
