Koei Tecmo has revealed a new trailer for Arslan: The Warriors of Legend.

Featured above, the new trailer focuses on the use of Skill Cards, which will allow you to enhance characters’ stats. However, whether they will have any abilities beyond that remains unknown. There will be a ton of them to collect throughout the game – over 200 – as well as be ranked.

Another big feature is the “Mardan Rush” mechanic. With Arslan’s story featuring absolutely massive battles, the Mardan Rush offers you a way to actually make use of the (usually useless) friendly NPCs in battle. You can gather yourself a group of NPCs and charge forward, throwing enemies aside and severely damage their ranks. The chain count in the video for this mechanic is unreal.

Lastly, the trailer shows off a bit on how the “Charge Shift” weapon system works. Allowing you to switch between equipped weapons mid-combo, the Charge Shift system allows you to mix and match combos together to perform massive chains of hits. The system looks right at home in a Musou-style game.

Arslan: The Warriors of Legend is set for an October 1st release in Japan on PS4 and PS3, with the North American and European versions hitting stores sometime in early 2016 for PS4 and PS3, as well as Xbox One.
