New Agents of Mayhem Trailer Introduces the Franchise Force

Deep Silver and developer Volition have shared a new trailer for Agents of Mayhem.

Featured above, the new trailer introduces the game’s “Franchise Force,” a three member squad of characters featuring names right out of an 80’s action flick: Hollywood, Hardtack, and Fortune.

Here’s a brief synopsis of the Franchise Force squad, via Deep Silver:

As the “Face of MAYHEM,” Hollywood thinks of the agency as a franchise which needs to be marketed. With Fortune and Hardtack making up some of the first recruited agents, it only seemed natural the three of them should be the driving “force” behind that “franchise.” Thus Franchise Force was born! Of course, it also helps their combat capabilities complement each other well since Fortune is swift and damaging, Hardtack is tough and deadly at close range, and Hollywood combines both of the previous two traits with precision skill.

With the teleport technology capability of MAYHEM, agents in your squad are able to instantly teleport into and out of combat. This allows on-the-fly swapping of Agents in the field, allowing one to heal while another takes their place, or allowing the best agent for a particular fight or task in your squad of three to replace the currently active one. Squad structure and customization is what it’s all about and with Agents as badass as these, the action is nonstop.

Agents of Mayhem is launching across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on August 15th in North America and August 18th in Europe.

I am looking forward to this, but I also have the sneaking feeling this will be pushed back. Note how content-empty the trailers are, despite being 3 months out- there’s no way they’re gonna get that much content done and tested in 3 months.

A delay is preferable to a rushed POS.

Looks great. Getting an Archer vibe from it (manly because of the reference) and that’s a good thing.

After seeing how thoroughly they ruined the Saint’s Row series with 3 and 4, I’m definitely gonna wait and see some reviews before I consider even renting this. Volition’s not a developer I’m particularly enthusiastic about anymore.

Thank you. Glad to see I’m not the only one who thinks the series fell off after 2.

Really how many people kept buying Saints Row because it was Saints Row till Gat out of Hell went too far down the drain? They’re going to run into a hard lesson that without the Saints Row name no one really cares for this type of humor.

I’m hoping for a return to form Saints Row game. Not another 3/4.
