Microsoft has announced a one terabyte Xbox One console.
Featured above, a new video was shown off with Larry Hyrb talking up the new SKU. The unit has a new matte finish, and a redesigned Xbox One controller. Fans can expect the new edition to launch on June 16th in the USA, for $399, while existing Xbox One 500GB SKU is getting a permanent price drop to $349.
The new controller has a direct 3.5mm headset jack, an increase of the maximum audio for headsets, improved controller audio quality, and it works with all existing controller accessories. The bumpers have been fine-tuned to be more consistently good with performance, and the controller can now be updated wireless via new firmware updates (compared to the old one, which needed to be tethered).
The new controller will be sold separately in black or camo silver/black color variations. A new $24.99 Xbox Wireless Adapter is coming to Windows this fall, which lets you wirelessly use your Xbox One controller with a Windows 10 PC.
