Netflix has announced an anime adaptation of the series The Way of the Househusband will release sometime next year.
The Way of the Househusband was officially announced on Netflix’s Japanese Twitter account made particularly for anime. The series began as a manga in 2018 by writer Kousuke Oono. A live-action adaptation premiered earlier this month.
The Way of the Househusband is a comedy series that follows Tatsu, a former Yakuza boss who settled down with a career woman. The jokes and gags arise from constant misunderstandings as Tatsu runs into old friends and enemies, and forgets to mind himself when doing errands.
The series will also star Kenjiro Tsuda who played the part of Tatsu in a live-action promotional video for the manga series; he will be reprising his role as the voice of Tatsu in the anime.

You can read a summary of the series from publisher Viz Media below.
“He was the fiercest member of the yakuza, a man who left countless underworld legends in his wake. They called him “the Immortal Dragon.” But one day he walked away from it all to travel another path—the path of the househusband! The curtain rises on this cozy yakuza comedy!”
Details are forthcoming about the upcoming series. However at present, there has been no confirmation of a western release.
