Netflix has announced The Cuphead Show, a new animated TV series based on the indie darling game by Studio MDHR.

The new show is being made in collaboration with King Features Syndicate, and developer Studio MDHR. As the show is based on the game, it will feature the classic animation style of the 1930s.

Here’s a look at the key art:

The series will expand upon the characters and the world of the video game, which stars Cuphead and his brother Mugman – who both strike a deal with the devil in a gambling match.

Cuphead creators Chad and Jared Moldenhaur will serve as executive producers for Studio MDHR, and C.J. Kettler will executive produce for King Features Syndicate. Netflix Animation will produce the series, which is being executive produced by Emmy and Annie award winner Dave Wasson. Cosmo Segurson will also serve as co-executive producer.

Cuphead is now available for Windows PC and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the game here (we recommend it with our highest praise!).
