Route 59 have announced a delay of the PC version of their upcoming anime-inspired visual novel Necrobarista.
Speaking on Steam, the developers explained they have come across “unexpected circumstances,” but the extra time is being used to improve the game and add more language support:
“Hey everyone! We’ve had some unforeseen circumstances pop up and, as such, Necrobarista needs a little longer to percolate. At this point, we’re still planning for a Q3 launch, so don’t worry – you won’t be waiting too much longer for the game!
We’re taking a little extra time to polish the game and, excitingly, that means we’ll be launching with support for FOURTEEN languages: English, French (& Canadian French), Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, and Dutch!
We understand that it’s a little disappointing to see a delay this close to launch, but the game will be a whole lot better for it – promise. We’ll share more details about our release date as soon as we can, and rest assured – there are more exciting announcements incoming!”
The Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 releases have been unaffected.
Necrobarista will launch in Q3 2019 for Windows PC, and 2020 for Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4.
