Mystic Warriors: Wrath of the Ninjas gets a modern port

Mystic Warriors

Hamster Corporation has done it again with another Arcade Archives release, this time for Mystic Warriors: Wrath of the Ninjas.

Originally developed and released by Konami back in 1993 for arcades, the game has never been available for home consoles – until now. Mystic Warriors is now available digitally on Switch and PS4.

Set in a dystopian future in New York, Mystic Warriors was similar to its predecessor, Sunset Riders, and shared much of the same development team. Gameplay consists of eight-way movement and the ability to attack or jump, as well as the ability to jump between higher or lower levels.

Here’s a brief blurb on the classic game, plus a trailer:

MYSTIC WARRIORS is an action game released by KONAMI in 1993.

In this title players battle with the evil ninja troops of the megacorporation “SKULL” in order to rescue their captured friends.

It’s sure to be mega-hit! Armageddon of the ninjas! You are the only one that can stop this armageddon!
