Creator of the enhanced editions of both Baldur’s Gate titles, Beamdog, seem to be ready to make a major announcement soon, since a countdown timer has appeared on the official Baldur’s Gate website.

The timer, which shows a little more than 10 days left as of this writing, appears to have a blurry symbol close to the Bhaal logo that Baldur’s Gate 1 uses. This makes sense considering that we know Beamdog is supposed to be working on a sequel that fits chronologically between Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2.

According to PCGames N, there is evidence a Twitch stream will take place when the countdown reaches zero. With any luck, we’ll all be watching footage of an entirely new Baldur’s Gate game within two weeks time.
