My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! began as a novel series in 2014 by Satoru Yamaguchi and is currently still ongoing. A light novel and manga adaptation began in 2015 and 2017 respectively. The recent anime began airing last month on April 4th, and is directed by Keisuke Inoue (Ao-chan Can’t Study!, Masamune-kun’s Revenge).
Catarina Claes is a high-school aged otaku that gets reincarnated as the villainess of the fictional otome game Fortune Lover. With the foreknowledge that her reincarnation gives her, she knows that the character Catarina is destined for a bad end and thus she works tirelessly to prevent it.
Failing that she becomes known as an eccentric noblewoman, spending her time on practical skills like farming in the event she’s ever exiled and disowned.

Women reincarnating into the villainess of an otome game is a recent subgenre of isekai that’s steadily gaining popularity. Titles like Akuyaku Reijou wa Ringoku no Outaishi ni Dekiai sareru and Reijou wa Mattari wo Goshomou among others have come out in recent years; all following the formula of a kind-hearted or pragmatic girl getting reincarnated as an otome villainess.
