The fifth season for My Hero Academia has been officially announced on the official site of the series.
My Hero Academia from studio Bones has announced its fifth season of the 2016 anime series. Originally a manga by Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia began in 2014 and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. The series has become a mainstream hit in recent years, supported by both Japanese and western fans.
For those unfamiliar, the the story follows Izuku Midoriya, a young man with more valor than strength. Unlike most people, he didn’t develop a super power (or Quirk as they’re called in the series).
This changes when his hero, the number one ranking hero All-Might takes him as a successor, and reveals that his power can be passed down. Midoriya becomes the inheritor of All-Might’s quirk, and is accepted to the U.A. High School in its hero program.
You can find the official teaser below.
As of this time of writing, there has been no official announcement of a premiere date, broadcasting station, or director of season five.
Seasons one through four are available to stream on AnimeLab, Crunchyroll, Funimation, Hulu, and VRV.
