My Heart is an Old Man

The first manga adaptation volume of My Heart is an Old Man (私の心はおじさんである, Watashi no Kokoro wa Oji-san de Aru) has been released by artist Utsugi.

Based on the original light novel by Yuuhi Shimano, My Heart is an Old Man is the story of a middle-aged salaryman that hopelessly drifts through life and wakes up one day in another world, but as a beautiful and young female dark elf.

As mentioned the manga adaptation is being handled by artist Utsugi and is based on the original light novel by Yuuhi Shimano and original character designs and illustrations by Naji Yanagida.

Participating retailers like Melon Books and others are now offering the first manga volume and if you pick up early copies, you’ll get an exclusive illustration card – each with different designs. English fan translations are already available via platforms like MangaDex and others.

Here’s the synopsis on the original novel:

Haruka Yamagishi, a man with no friends or family, simply goes back and forth between work and home. One day he wakes to find himself in a different world. And for some reason, he turns out to be a beautiful dark elf girl! Haruka has inexhaustible magical power, a strong body, and a new life where she can do anything. But there was no way she (or he), who was an old man on the inside, could be a warrior, and she was always brooding and thinking.. However, through the friends she meets and her activities as an adventurer, she gradually begins to change. The old man who almost gave up on life in this world grows his “mind” in a new world and body. A heartwarming adventure story with some cheats!
