The Irregular Corporation have announced the release date for Mediatonic’s puzzle and detective game Murder by Numbers.
The game takes inspiration from the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series (even the series composer Masakazu Sugimori produced the soundtrack here). You talk to NPCs and find clues to uncover the true culprit in murders, presenting evidence to disprove lies in 1990s Los Angeles.
However, to find evidence you will need to solve Picross style puzzles. The game’s characters are designed by Hato Moa, who also designed characters for and created Hatoful Boyfriend.
In addition, The Irregular Corporation released the games animated intro movie. You can view the new animated intro trailer below:
