MultiVersus adds new character Stripe, the Gremlins antagonist

MultiVersus

Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Player First Games announced MultiVersus has added another new character: Stripe, the leader and antagonist of the Gremlins.

Stripe was added roughly a month after the good boy mogwai, Gizmo, was added to the game alongside a prior update. Another recent patch removed the cop car from Velma’s super move because society has literally gone insane.

Here’s a brief blurb on the Gremlins villain:

The main antagonist from the Gremlins franchise, Stripe, is now available as the latest playable character in MultiVersus, the free-to-play platform fighter developed by Player First Games. The mohawk-wearing Gremlin leader arrives as part of MultiVersus Season 1 and is an Assassin class character with a moveset that highlights his unruly and rambunctious nature. Stripe’s abilities are as featured in a newly revealed gameplay trailer showing off his claw attacks, as well as a range of weapons that can be used to strike fear in challengers, including a buzzsaw, chainsaw, dynamite and even a skateboard. He can also briefly attach himself to opponents to avoid hits and cause damage of his own. The Combat Stripe character variant is available now for in-game purchase.

Here’s a new trailer for Stripe:

MultiVersus is currently in open beta as mentioned above, across Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
