MultiVersus

Publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Player First Games announced MultiVersus is adding the Powerpuff Girls and DC Comics superhero Nubia.

The Powerpuff Girls and DC Comics’ character Nubia are coming to game as part of its third season titled “Season 3: Sugar, Spice, & Everything Nice” with a launch set for September 17th on all platforms.

While the Powerpuff Girls will be available at the beginning when Season 3 launches next week, Nubia will launch sometime later.

Here’s a rundown on the new characters, plus a trailer:

Based on the superhero trio from the popular animated series, The Powerpuff Girls will be available when MultiVersus Season 3 launches on Sept. 17. DC Super Hero and new Queen of The Amazons, Nubia, will arrive later in the season.

The heavy hitting, superpowered trio of Blossom, Buttercup, and Bubbles will be flying in from Townsville to put all bad guys in their place. In the new trailer, The Powerpuff Girls’ fighting skills as an Assassin class character are on full display, including their unique team up abilities to punch, kick, and bash opponents together as one cohesive wrecking machine, along with each taking turns as the leader to put their own spin on special moves. The video also provides a first look at the Rowdyruff Boys and Dynamo Suits character variants for The Powerpuff Girls available on Sept. 17, along with a new battle-torn “Destroyed” version of the City of Townsville map that fans of the series will recognize, coming later in the season.

Additionally, Season 3 will add the new Midnight Showing map, allowing players to battle against the backdrop of the movie theater locale inspired by the Gremlins (1984) film.

MultiVersus hit full release in May 2024 across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
