It seems that Mr. Birchum, Daily Wire’s conservative adult animation show, has been canceled after only one season.

While no official word has been announced by the media company, several things have happened that imply the show has been quietly shelved.

The most important sign the show’s been canceled is its complete absence from the Daily Wire’s in development projects or upcoming releases, but there’s been more evidence of its cancelation which we’ll delve into.

For context, the last few years have not been good for Daily Wire. First, they lost actress Gina Carano, the former Mandalorian actress who’d temporarily joined forces with Daily Wire before leaving them after only one movie produced with them.

Next, they fired their most popular woman host Candace Owens over her comments on Israel. Candace Owens would go on to make her own popular podcast, where she would frequently bash her former employers for being hypocrites on cancel culture.

Near the end of last year, Daily Wire lost their second most popular woman star, Brett Cooper, and were forced to cancel their upcoming live-action Snow White reboot.

Among all of these bigger failures, there was also the release of Mr. Birchum, an adult animated show starring Adam Carolla which was supposed to be a satire on woke culture.

Unfortunately for the Daily Wire, the first season was a flop, gaining few subscribers to The Daily Wire (which was the only place you could watch it) and being lambasted by not only leftists and centrists, but also the very conservatives it was meant to appeal to.

It was not just critics who disliked the show, virtually every YouTube review is overwhelmingly negative, with many suggesting that it was no better than the Velma reboot, another hated adult cartoon.

People complained that the show was elitist and contemptuous to other political points of view, similar to what Velma was accused of. Though at least Velma was renewed for a season 2 and managed to get a few fans, Mr. Birchum doesn’t seem to have even gotten that amount of luck.

And now, it seems Mr. Birchum has been quietly shelved. First, the show has been removed (if it was ever even there in the first place) from the list of projects at Daily Wire in active development.

In contrast, Chip Chilla, the kids cartoon also produced by the Daily Wire is still listed in ongoing projects. Also Chip Chilla’s season one was originally released in October 2023, with season two coming out April 2024 – just six months apart.

As of February 2025, it’s been more than ten months since Mr. Birchum debuted, with still no sign of a season two renewal on the way.

More evidence that Mr. Birchum has been canceled is the description on the Mr. Birchum wiki, which originally had season 2 slated to be released in 2026, with a detailed plot description, and yet today most of that is trolling descriptions of the show – suggesting the wiki has long been abandoned by its owners – or that the owners tension are trolling the show.

The final nail in the coffin for Mr. Birchum seems to have been the departure of Brett Cooper, who played Mr. Birchum’s wife. Currently, Daily Wire is in a PR crisis due to Cooper’s departure, having lost over one million subscribers to The Comment Section, where they had attempted to replace Cooper with her former best friend.

With all the ongoing drama, they probably decided it was best not to kick it into overdrive by replacing Cooper on Mr. Birchum, a show which never got good ratings or viewership numbers. Daily Wire also seemingly has canceled their anti-woke Snow White show, which was also set to have Cooper star as Snow White.

Of course, a season two of Mr. Birchum is still possible, but as of today, it appears the show has been quietly canceled.
