Mortal Kombat X’s Variations for Takashi Takeda, Mileena, and Kung Jin Showcased

Yesterday’s Mortal Kombat X livestream was satisfyingly hefty. Not only did Netherrealm Studios reveal Quitalities, but they also detailed Mileena, Takashi Takeda, and Kung Jin’s moves and variations. (No Jacqueline “Jacqui” Briggs yet, however.) You can watch those gameplay videos below.

In addition to that, both the Predator and Jason Voorhees have recently been confirmed to be guest fighters for the game, and will be available through the Kombat Pack DLC.

Mortal Kombat X will be coming to Windows PCs, Xbox One, and Playstation 4 on April 14, with Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 ports following in the summer.

The game sure looks good, but this new Mileena does not. But, well, this is how she will be. in the game.

I know people have been complaining about her, but I think she looks so much better than she did in MK9. That was the laziest design I think I’ve ever seen in a fighting game.

I would give the laziest design to games like Virtua Fighter, but this is another discussion. When you think Ryu, that is a very, extremely simple design, but people love it for it. MK also have very simple, and effective design. For Mileena in MK 9: she is clearly different from Kitana because of the colors, the hair and the style of the clothing. It wasn’t suppose to be completely different from Jade or Kitana, but enough to be recognizable.
Now, when I see the new Mileena, first, she looks smaller, second, something odd happened to her hair, now, it kind of make her head looks bigger than it should, and they giver her lips. OK, this was a very strange decision, like, imagine you get the most unique design of a character, and just remove it. And they did just that. So yeah, we can see they are trying to avoid the DOA rout, and they really put a lot of clothing in the fame characters, and that is not a good or bad thing, but the other changes were bad, really bad.
Anyway, I find the Deception Mileena the best one, since they gave her a nice outfit and a great look in general.
