While NetherRealm Studios has been teasing the next Mortal Kombat game and Warner Bros. even claimed it’ll be Mortal Kombat 12, a new teaser raises more questions.

The new teaser features a clock with the hour hand pointing at the number 12 and the minute hand pointing almost at the number 9 – but what you need to watch is the seconds hand.

Towards the end of the teaser, the seconds hand pauses, bugs out at the number 11, and then skips right over 12 to the number one – suggesting this could be hinting for a reboot of the entire Mortal Kombat franchise.

It’s worth pointing out the hour and minute hands on the clock wouldn’t be in those positions if this was an accurate and real-life clock.
