While Mortal Kombat 12 was already quietly announced via Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav subtly teasing the sequel, it has yet to be officially announced.
This may change soon as accounts from the game’s developer NetherRealm has been teasing something coming for the long running franchise.
As the series is celebrating over 30 years since the original launch of the first title, the main Twitter account posted a video with many developers expressing their gratitude to the fans who have stuck by them for decades:

What made this appear as a hint is the word choice in their tweet, with the account teasing that they’re “just getting started.”
This would further be compounded by Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon saying, the video has a “(not so) subtle tease” of what was to come:
A big THANK YOU from us, with a (not so subtle) tease of what’s koming 👍🏻#MortalKombat https://t.co/p02TeUiBGK

Again, we already know that Mortal Kombat 12 is in the works. However these hints indicate we should be expecting an announcement with a proper trailer coming soon.
Meanwhile the previous game, Mortal Kombat 11, has been available on Windows PC (via Steam), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia. In case you missed it, you can find our review here.
