Koei Tecmo has released another wave of screenshots and information for the updated Deception IV: Blood Ties.

Returning

Deception IV: Another Princess, as it’s called, will have the players confront heroines from previous Deception games during “Quest Mode”. Clearing certain quests during this mode will allow players to play as these returning characters.

The returning characters include:

Millenia (Kagero: Deception II)

Millenia was psychologically broken by Timenoids, who brainwashed her to hunt down humans. She ends up in Darkside Heaven, and encounters Valgyrie there.

Reina (Deception III: Dark Delusion)

Reina was sold into a life of slavery on the island of Alendar and her family murdered. She acquires a Space-Time Stone, a device capable of controlling space and time.

Allura (Trapt)

Allura, a princess wrongly accused of murdering her father, is used by the Fiend, Malphas, and her association with it lands her and her maid in trouble with people who believe they work with the creature.

Classic Traps

Several traps from previous Deception games make a return in Deception IV: Another Princess. Featured above, in order, they include the Suezo, a monster that rolls and bounces around until it hits an enemy (from Kagero: Deception II); the Genocide Eye (Deception III: Dark Delusion), a mask that latches onto faces, and then fires lasers at enemies; and an oldie but a goody, ceiling spikes (Trapt), referred to as the Fall Needle in Deception.

Deception IV: Another Princess is planned to release in Japan on March 26, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita.
