Publisher Rogue Games and developer Nunchaku Games have launched a Kickstarter for Moon Samurai, their new sidescrolling action game.

The new crowdfunding campaign will help the team complete development on Moon Samurai, which is planned to release across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and PS5 sometime in late 2025.

Moon Samurai is an intense, engaging action adventure that slips players into the high tops of a young warrior on a mission to defeat a corrupted government in the dangerous lunar city-state of RAM City.

Features

• The breathtaking pixel-art world of the lunar city RAM City. Several dozens of diverse locations: streets and rooftops of the lunar city, a prison with embittered guards and prisoners, lunar artificial jungles, secret military laboratories, nightclubs, an out-of-control spaceship, terrifying open space, and others. Each level is filled with amazing details, NPCs and secrets to find. This is the kind of lived-in pixel world you’ll want to explore again and again!
• Over thirty different combat mechanics. Prefer fair hand-to-hand combat? Or ready to take up weapons? The choice is yours! Our main goal is to make the fights as satisfying and exciting as possible. The main character already has at least 5 variants of dodges and blocks and we’re adding more and more!
• Take a breather from the hurricane-paced battles to explore RAM City (and beyond) via realistic climbing, parkour and puzzle-solving to unlock new locations.
• Try everything! The environments provide endless opportunities for interaction. Take a pool cue and crack your enemy over the head. Or throw a bottle at him. Or kick a chair at him, like in the best Hong Kong action movies. We have many surprises in store for your enemies!
