Following the English screenshots and information surfacing on the Idea Factory International website and the PEGI rating that came out of Europe, many fans were wondering when the game would be confirmed for localization.

In a confirmation to IGN, Idea Factory International revealed they’re localizing the Playstation Vita card battling RPG. The game is set for a Spring 2014 release across North America and Europe.

As described before, Monster Monpiece is a card game in which you meet Monster Girls that are represented by cards that you’ll use in battle. There are four types of cards you can collect: Melee, Ranged, Healers, and Buffers.

The game is getting some content removed/censored, however, as some fans were worried from the game’s PEGI 12 rating. The sexualized content from the Japanese version that requires you to rub the girls in order to level them up remains, however certain Monster Girl cards have been removed.

Idea Factory said that these Monster Girl cards in particular were cut “solely due to the intense sexual nature of Monster Girl card images.” Oh boy, I wonder how intensely sexual those Monster Girls were (read: loli). Idea Factory did emphasize that “the gameplay, game system, and storyline are still fully intact.”
