Monster Hunter X Adds the Powerful Storm Dragon, Amatsumagatsuchi

Capcom has confirmed at this year’s Tokyo Game Show that players will be able to hunt the storm dragon Amatsumagatsuchi in Monster Hunter X.

The powerful dragon made its debut in Monster Hunter Portable 3rd for the PlayStation Portable, and hasn’t been seen in a game since. Featured above, the game’s latest trailer has a small teaser for the elder dragon’s inclusion at the end.

Monster Hunter X is launching for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on November 28th.

Hope he’s not as a joke as he was in Portable 3rd. Everything in that game felt too easy.

I skipped that game completely. Is it worth playing? I could put it on my phone or something.

It’s really polished, but pretty easy compared to the other games. It’s good for a run through while waiting for the next monhun, but the lack of G-rank and monsters feeling like they’re made of paper bring down the experience.

Oh, there’s no G-Rank? What the hell were they thinking?

I gave Portable 3rd a try, but honestly it was WAY too easy compared to the likes of 3U and 4U. Never got that far in it to begin with anyway, but I do hope this monster will be fun to fight.

It was just one of the filler games to hold off the fanbase until the next big one

MHX already has more monsters confirmed than portable 3rd, and the roster hasn’t even be fully revealed.

So even without G-rank, at least it will have tons of content.

there is no underwater combat, they had D’Island in P3rd on the PSP and it modified it to not include underwater already.

Only question is whether or not the aquatic monsters will still jump into the water and just pelt you from there with their ranged attacks.
