Monster Hunter Wilds reveals large-scale expansion and 1-year anniversary update

Capcom has announced Monster Hunter Wilds is getting a large-scale expansion pack akin to previous games’ releases like Iceborne and Sunbreak.

The new Monster Hunter Wilds is expansion is now in development, though further details are coming this summer.

“We are currently at work on a large-scale expansion similar to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak for Monster Hunter Wilds,” game producer Ryozo Tsujimoto said in a first anniversary video message. “We plan to share more information with you this summer, so please look forward to it.”

Prior to the big new expansion, the new game content starts this month though, with update 1.041 on February 18th.

The new update, which is in celebration of the game’s first year anniversary, will bring with it the new boss monster Arch-tempered Arkveld,10-star monsters, a Monster Hunter Stories 3 collab, new event quests, and a player-driven design contest for in-game items.
