Monster Hunter Wilds, has reached over 1 million concurrent players on Steam after releasing only a few hours ago at the time of writing.
According to Steam Charts, Wilds launched and over 800,000 players immediately hopped on. Now that people in the west coast are finally waking up that number is growing.
At the time of writing, Monster Hunter Wilds is sitting at over 1.2 million players and has remained consistent. In our opinion we’re likely to see that number rise once people get off work or out of school (not all of us are lucky enough to work at PocketPair).
These numbers won’t include console players, so the true success of Monster Hunter Wilds should be even greater.
The latest game in the Monster Hunter franchise brings back the aesthetic and style of Monster Hunter World. Capcom takes a two-team approach to the franchise and while Rise was a more traditional game, Wilds puts the franchise back in the hand of the World team.
If you’re one of the hundreds of thousands of players speeding through the game, you can look forward to the first Monster Hunter Wilds title update which has already been announced for this season.
Monster Hunter Wilds is available now across for PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
