Capcom has revealed yet another Monster Hunter game for the Nintendo 3DS today during this year’s Monster Hunter Festa event.
Featured above, you can view the debut trailer for Monster Hunter Stories, a brand new RPG spinoff where you can ride monsters. The game is set for a release in Japan some time next year, although further details weren’t confirmed.
According to game producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, the focus of the game is the riding of monsters, and the opportunity to strengthen the bonds between monster and rider, while adventuring together.
The game has been quietly in development for five years, and Famitsu managed to get a quote from Tsujimoto.
“We want to make this a game with a story and kind of excitement that is only possible as an RPG, while remaining true to what fans expect from the Monster Hunter series,” Tsujimoto said.
