Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak title update 1 is out now

Monster Hunter Rise

Capcom has released the first major patch for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak.

The new update, patch 11.0.1, adds new missions, monsters, and a host of other things. Here’s a new trailer for the title update:

Players who own both Monster Hunter Rise and its Sunbreak expansion will be able to experience new monsters who will appear in the gathering hub quests, and new afflicted monsters. Don’t forget new weapons and armor to be crafted complete with “Qurious crafting” at the Smithy.

There are also new quests along with a new quest system, Anomaly Investigations. Anomaly investigations will become available after completing the main story.  Sunbreak also has a new locale; the Forlorn Arena is also available for you to explore.

Capcom has been good with the way that they handle patches for Monster Hunter, making sure that each patch exists as a major content update, rather than a smaller little content drip that many other games have opted for.

No major patch would be complete without some balance changes, which you can check out in the official Capcom announcement here.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has been available for Nintendo Switch and Windows PC (via Steam). In case you missed it, you can find our thorough review on the base game here.
