Former Nogizaka 46 actress Nanase Nishino and actor Yuki Yamada announced their marriage through their respective agencies.
Both performers were in the same shows back in 2021, the NHK comedy show LIFE! and the TV drama Hakozume Tatakau! Koban Joshi.
The couple became closer through playing Monster Hunter online together, but didn’t start dating until last year.
“To whom it may concern, we are pleased to inform you that Yuki Yamada and Nanase Nishino have gotten married,” the duo said in a statement. “We always think that our hearts and souls are the most important thing. Our hobbies are playing games, watching movies, traveling, and interacting with animals. We hope that we can bring you works of art that you can enjoy. We hope that we can work together with you to create a world where everyone can feel happy. We ask for your continued support.”
When rumors came out last summer that they were dating, Yamada confirmed the news on his radio show Yuki Yamada’s All Night Nippon X. Yamada said on his show: “I’d be happy if you could watch over us warmly and gently. It’s really all about this!”
Nishino joined Nogizaka 46 as a first-term performer in August 2011 and became the ace of the group. Since leaving the group at the end of 2018, she has worked as a solo artist, appearing in such TV dramas as Your Turn to be Killed on Nippon Television in 2019 and Dr. Chocolate which started in April 2023. This year, she will appear in Fuji Television’s O-oku and is also scheduled to appear in the movie Kaettekita Abunai Deka, which will be released in May, and is steadily building her career as an actress.
Yamada made his acting debut in 2011 in the TV Asahi series Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger as the blue Gokaiger. Last year, he appeared in NHK’s historical drama What Will You Do, Ieyasu?, the TBS drama Pending Train-8:23, Tomorrow with You, the movie Tokyo Revengers 2: Bloody Halloween – Destiny, and the Academy Award-winning movie Ghost in the Shell. He also appeared in the movie Godzilla Minus One, which won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects. This year, he also appeared in Fuji Television’s Kimi ga Kokoro ga Kurutte Kara De (Because You Gave Me Your Heart) as the opposite to Mei Nagano, the heroine of the drama.
Yuki Yamada was born in Aichi Prefecture and played his first starring role in TV Tokyo’s DxTOWN Bokura ga Renai Dekinai Riyû in 2012. His father is Kazutoshi Yamada, who played and coached for the Chunichi and Hiroshima professional baseball teams.
Nanase Nishino played the leading role in Asahinagu released in 2017 while she was a member of Nogizaka 46, and after graduating at the end of 2018, she appeared in many movies, including Shin Kamen Rider released in March 2023. She is good at illustrations.
