Publisher FDG Entertainment has announced the release window for Game Atelier’s Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom.

The latest in the Wonder Boy universe is set to release sometime in Q2 of this year. The publisher said the game is reaching the end of its development and is on track for a release during the series’ 30th anniversary, later this year.

The new update for the game details what fans can expect from the upcoming release – namely 60FPS performance and 1080p visuals.

It’s also worth mentioning that Game Atelier has access to all of the original Wonder Boy assets, making a new game in the series that much easier. Legendary Japanese composer, Yuzo Koshiro, is also working on the game’s soundtrack.

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom will be releasing across PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
