Mojang is Going to Let You Change Your Name in Minecraft in February

minecraft 01-12-15-1

Mojang has announced a pretty interesting new feature coming to Minecraft next month: the ability to change your name in game.

It may not seem like much but on February 4th, that player who may have though XxSmokeWeed420xX was a cool idea can switch it to something way cooler, like SirCockKnoblertheFourth, or whatever tickles their fancy.

If you sign into your Mojang account with your email, you’ll have the option to change your name. To be clear, the Mojang account is entirely separate from the old Minecraft Premium accounts, so you’ll need to migrate your account to a Mojang one.

If you choose unwisely yet again, you’ll have to wait 30 days before you can switch your name again.

Guys, I think there is a trend going on with NG’s Minecraft articles. I can’t quite put my finger on it though.
