Not all Gundam games are this fast paced. Most are strategy games since the anime focuses on political intrigue with the occasional (albeit intense) battles.

Never. Licensing is a bitch. Good thing the series is piss easy to navigate without knowing japanese.

Well, it seems to me that Bandai Namco are getting out of their way to rig our chances of getting GEVS. First off, they get Spike Chunsoft to create a half-baked knock-off featuring Shonen Jump characters, and as for the PC game that’s actually made by the Gundam VS team, they don’t even give that game a single ounce of marketing.

I’m curious, what’s the half minute long animation after every Bandai Namco trailer? What’s it say and why’s it there?

    Pretty easy.

If this has any the Next Plus mode of Next Plus (the series’s last portable incarnation) though you’re a bit doomed, as it had some mission requirements and skills you’d need to read and a LOT of scenarios you’ll miss unless you are familiar with Gundam in Japanese.

Devils advocate: There’s also the issue of how you’d actually translate this game. There’s a LOT of in-battle dialog for fights (not just the same series stuff you’d expect, but I think stuff like Char Aznable vs. Quattro Bajeena and various Char clones have special dialog) that’s kinda the purpose of the crossover part of the game, and even if you did hack in subtitles the game is really fast for them to be read and would obscure gameplay (I guess you could add a toggle though).

If you tried to go dub, you have to deal with how Gundam dubs have been done by multiple groups, with 0079, Char’s Counter Attack, 00, Seed, Seed Destiny and Wing by one, Unicorn, 08th Mobile Strike Team and F91 by another, G and Zeta by another and War in the Pocket and Stardust Memory by another and the ZZ and Build Fighters dubs which were done in the Philippines (though you can probably ignore those). Among those many groups you have retired actors (Domon) and people who have gone COMPLETELY nuts (Bernie)

No excuse for things like Gundam Breaker (all original characters and music) or Operation Troy (which was CREATED FOR western audiences) though…
