In a recent social media update, famous Nintendo director and game developer Shigeru Miyamoto reaffirms Nintendo’s commitment to new experiences and innovation.

The tweet which was made on Nintendo’s official Twitter account was made in response to Japan’s “Video Game General Election”; the election was basically a popularity contest sponsored by TV Asahi which asked Japanese consumers what they thought were the greatest games of all time.

“This is Miyamoto. Thank you for voting for many Nintendo titles in the “Video Game General Election” that aired last night,” the veteran creator said in a Tweet.

He added, “It was also an opportunity to recall each scene of game development that has been repeated for nearly 40 years. We will continue to create video games that will bring new experiences to everyone.”

The list included many Nintendo games with classics like Super Mario Bros. 3 and Kirby Superstar as well as newer games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (which took first place).
