Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Censored in China

Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid

Fans of the series Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid have noticed a big (or technically “small”) set of alterations to the series on Chinese platform BiliBili.

The most notable change is that just about every female character save for Kanna, Saikawa, and Kobayashi herself have had their chest size drastically reduced.

Some of these alterations drastically affect the scene in question. Particularly when a character emphasizes their chest as the newest dragon Ilulu tends to do.

The newest season of the series premiered earlier this year. In this season, Ilulu, arguably the most proportionally busty dragon was introduced.

You can read a summary of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid from Crunchyroll below.

“Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end! “

The anime series began in 2017 from Kyoto Animation. Kyoto Animation’s other works include K-On!, Sound! Euphonium, and Myriad Colors Phantom World.

Back in 2019 Kyoto Animation was the target of a deadly arson attack. Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S was the studio’s first seasonal series since the attack.
