Sony has confirmed that Minecraft is hitting retail on Playstation 4 this October.
The sandbox is making its disc debut on the platform on October 7th in North America and October 3rd in Europe.
Sony is also promising more information for the Playstation Vita port of Minecraft “in a few weeks”, which also means we’re getting info on the game having cross-buy across the PS4 and Vita ports.
Minecraft is currently available on the Playstation Store on both Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. Microsoft announced their acquisition of the Minecraft developer Mojang earlier this week, while the non-Xbox versions will continuously be supported, despite the buyout.
